If your child is playing with green dot or yellow tennis balls then this is a good option. We like to get a child into the right size racquet which is slightly smaller than they can handle if they are just starting and then we get them into a larger racquet (pref graphite not aluminum) when they have their strokes installed.

This is a great racquet for 9/10 year olds who are too big or strong for an aluminum 25" racquet, are not quite ready for a full size racquet, and are looking to start hitting with green dot or yellow tennis balls.

TennisForChildren has a limited supply of new and used junior racquets (19", 21", 23", and 25") for sale with your registration. Contact us for advice before you make any purchase so we can help you decide which racquet is right for your child.
TennisForChildren uses these orange balls almost exclusively for our 8 & Under and 6 &Under groups. Sometimes with the younger groups we use the "red dot" balls but those wear out quickly on outdoor tennis courts.
